Basic Training

At IVS, we truly believe that training is the most important part of integrating new technology products into your classroom(s). Our Basic Training provides you with the opportunity to experience hands-on practice guided by one of our education consultants. Each session is developed with the goal of integrating the technology with your core curriculum as well as your day-to-day classroom activities.

When you purchase your product from us, we provide you with the basic training that you need to start using the technology…at no additional cost.

For those who need basic training but did not purchase their product from IVS, all course offerings below are available for a fee. Please give us a call for current pricing.

Basic Training 101-103

This three-part Basic Training package guides users step-by-step through the basics of their system, and provides an in-depth look at SMART Notebook™ software. Participants have the opportunity for hands-on practice, and each two-hour session is tailored specifically to the subject area and grade level of the users present. Sessions cover the following information:

Basics 101 — Hardware components of either the 400, 600, 800 series SMART Board® system or LightRaise™ Interactive Projector, overview of Smart Board® operations and maintenance, and everything participants need to know to get started.

Basics 102 — Basic design in SMART Notebook™ Software, integration of SMART Notebook™ into classroom curriculum, creating and designing lesson activities using SMART Notebook™ Tools, overview of the SMART Notebook™ interface

Basics 103 — Creating standard based lessons resources using grouping, linking, ordering, and all features of an object in SMART Notebook™ Software. Integrate SMART Ink™ features while expanding existing Ink Aware Applications such as Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® PowerPoint, and Microsoft® Excel files.
