Jessica Shaw

Education Consultant

Jessica Shaw is a graduate of Louisiana State University achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. While studying at LSU, she began teaching Bible School at a local church and volunteering at a nearby elementary school.

After finishing her degree, Jessica began her teaching career as a fifth grade teacher. Along with the challenges of being a first year teacher, she became a shoulder of support for displaced students due to Hurricane Katrina. Educating students who lost their entire world was not an easy task, but she was forever changed by the bonds created with her students and their families.

Continuing to teach fifth grade another year, Jessica also became a Big Buddy mentor. Big Buddy, an enrichment program for disadvantaged children, is one of Jessica's most rewarding experiences. Working with students in Kindergarten through fifth grade, she provided after school enrichment, organized and participated in fundraising events, and established relationships with students that still continue today.

In 2008, Jessica became an Education Consultant with IVS Computer Technology. During her tenure at IVS, Jessica has played an integral role in providing on-going support to teachers throughout California. Leading Users' Groups, she has created an environment in which teachers can learn, collaborate, and create digital resources to engage their tech savvy students. She also creates and delivers Professional Development that caters to the specific needs of the school districts that she works with. Content Creation Seminars have allowed Jessica to directly see the benefits of the IVS training program. Seeing the excitement in creating digital content and the anticipation of delivering it to their students, is the reason Jessica became an Education Consultant. As a SMART Certified trainer in SMART Notebook Software, SMART Response, and SMART Classroom Suite, she looks forward to any and all opportunities to advance the technological culture within the schools systems.

Julie Sepulveda

Education Consultant

Julie completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine. While she spent her first few years as a Biology major, she graduated with a BA in Psychology. During her college years, Julie had many involvements, one of which was an organization called Project Together. Through this organization she was able to mentor an at-risk child and regularly attend training in adolescent social skills building.

Upon graduating, Julie immediately began working as a residential counselor at Crittenton Services for Children and Families. At this facility, she implemented a strict behavior modification program, tutored clients, and continued training in a variety of topics such as substance abuse, anger management, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). After two years with Crittenton, the director of Page Private School invited Julie to join her teaching staff because of the strong work ethic and management skills displayed at Crittenton. Julie made the decision to leave Crittenton and put her communication and behavior management skills to work in the field of education.

Page Private School was where Julie fell in love with the classroom. After a year of teaching 3rd grade, she joined the upper grade teaching team and taught Language Arts for the rest of her time at Page. She enrolled in the multiple-subject credential program at Chapman University of Orange, and continued to teach until it was time to participate in student teaching. She was part of the Page staff for nearly five years. Aside from teaching 3rd grade and upper grade Language Arts, she taught fitness and dance every summer, prepped students for the Scripps (county level) Spelling Bee, and she attended Astrocamp and the Catalina Island Marine Institute with her students.

After completing the credential program, Julie and her husband decided to plant their roots in Fresno County. Now, as an Education Consultant for IVS, she trains and supports teachers in Central and Northern California school districts. She helps them not only integrate technology into their classrooms, but become proficient and comfortable with the technology as well. Julie is thrilled that she is still part of the education community, and able to provide teachers with the tools necessary to reach students of the constantly changing digital age.
